A simple dip

1. One can refried beans.

2. One container sour cream (similar in size to the salsa).

3. One bottle salsa of your choice.

4. Mix in pan; cook and stir until heated through and smooth.

A simple rice dish

1. Put one part rice (preferably Basmati) in plain pot (not non-stick); wash once or twice, pouring out the water each time, leaving a mess of wet rice.

2. Drizzle olive oil into the semi-wet rice.

3. Add red tabasco sauce to taste.

4. Add 1/2 thumbnail’s worth of Thai green curry paste (more if a very large amount of rice).

5. Add five parts water to the one part rice.

5a. Raisins, apples, and other items may be added if desired. Curry powder or turmeric may be added for color.

6. Boil until rice is cooked.
